Two one-day workshops on CAREER Proposal Writing are planned for 2013 by the Directorate for Computer & Information Science & Engineering at the National Science Foundation (NSF). The first one will be held on March 15 at Temple University in Philadelphia. The second workshop will take place at University of Texas, Arlington on May 17.
The goal of these workshops is to introduce junior faculty to the NSF CAREER program, and help them prepare their CAREER proposals. Faculty members will have the opportunity to improve their skills in proposal writing, as well as interact with NSF program directors from different divisions (IIS, CNS, and CCF) and recent NSF CAREER awardees. The major components of the workshop include presentations on proposal writing, experience sharing, mock panels, and proposal clinic. Registration is currently available for the March 15 workshop at http://www.cis.temple.edu/NSFCareer2013/.
