Hotel
The Parc 55 Hotel is conveniently located near Fifth and Market at 55 Cyril Magnin Place. To make hotel reservations, call 1-800-697-3103 and mention the Health IT meeting to get the special group rate of $164. plus tax single/double. Please register before October 7, 2009!
Note: The room block was set up with 100 rooms for Wednesday (October 28) night and Thursday (October 29) night. The hotel contract says the rate is good 3 days prior and 3 days after. Unfortunately any online reservation can only be made for Wednesday and Thursday nights. The attendee wanting a different night needs to call 1.800.595.0507 number to reserve their nights.
Airport Information
Attendees can use Oakland International Airport (OAK) or San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Both airports offer convenient and economical BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) transportation from the airport to the Powell St. station in downtown San Francisco, the closest stop to the Parc 55 Hotel.
Taxis from SFO to the hotel are approx. $35-40 one way; door-to-door shuttles average $15-$17 one-way.
Taxis from OAK to the hotel are approx. $50 one-way; door-to-door shuttles average $25-30. For example, Super Shuttle offers door-to-door service for $27 one-way to the hotel. Advance reservations are required, call (800) 258-3826.
Parking
Parking at the hotel is $44. plus tax for 5-24 hrs with in and out privileges only for hotel guests. There are parking lots/garages nearby with more economical rates such as the Fifth and Mission Garage which charges $25 for 7-12 hours and $30 for 12-24 hours.
Internet
Wireless internet is available in the meeting rooms. Wired and wireless is in the sleeping rooms at a cost of $12.95 per day.
