We survey undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty members in computing department separately. All of our surveys assess:

  1. Past experiences (e.g., participation in intervention programs)
  2. Knowledge and confidence in one’s ability to continue one’s career path
  3. Sense of belonging in the field of computing
  4. Intrinsic interest in computing
  5. Perceptions of one’s department (e.g., “chilly” versus supportive)
  6. Breadth of one’s professional network
  7. Persistence in computing (e.g., Ph.D. program enrollment; job placement)
  8. Successes (e.g., publications; awards)
  9. Demographic information
