Welcome to the Colorado State University

Picture
Colorado State University is a big campus and a beautiful place. My primary destination is the Computer Science Building, which has a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains and is a 4-storied building with numerous labs and classrooms.

My friend Samantha!

Samantha Wood was also recruited by DREU to spend the summer working on a research project at the CSU. She is a very intelligent girl and a very nice friend. I am glad to be getting to know her. On our second weekend, we walked to old town Fort Collins and went biking on rented bikes. I must say Sam has a very good sense of direction ;)
Sam plays the French horn and hand bells and has an excellent understanding of music. She has taught me a bit about identifying different notes (YAY!)
We plan to soak in as much of Fort Collins as possible within our time together and enjoy the weekends. Sam, you are a cool person to hang out with!

How I love the rains...

Picture
They say, "If you don't like the weather in Colorado, just wait 5 minutes....it will change!". And I have found that to be very true so far. The weather does change 4-5 times a day and the best change it has had so far is when it turned to stormy a couple of days ago. The sky looked just beautiful.....

Watch the sunset with me...

Picture
Fort Collins was a warm place and the sun used to be up from 5:30 am to 9pm ~~ WOW!
The most  beautiful time, though, was @ dusk - the most soothing sunset at 9pm.

The city from the mountains!

Picture
Sam and I went hiking. It was awesome! Not only did we walk in the burning sun all through the day, but we took fabulous pictures, had lunch on a rock, under the shade of a boulder and encountered bikers on our way. Cheerful people, cheerful place. It was a beautiful summer!

Horsetooth could not have been more pretty

Picture
This is Horsetooth river. I still do not understand why it is called so, but it is one of the most beautiful sights one can stare at on a hot Saturday afternoon. The river is huge and even supplies to a dam. There are boats going across at all times and most importantly, the sight is just breathtaking :D

Estes Park

My mentor took us to Estes Park on a small hiking trip. I almost wished I could live there. Not only was the tiny hour long trip packed with beautiful mountain views, but Estes Park in itself is a sight to behold. It has numerous little lakes and an old town feel. How I miss my summer...
