Computing Research in Action

The Goal

We are proud to announce a new initiative showcasing the latest breakthroughs in computing research. This new program builds on our past efforts to educate the general public about the transformative research being done in this field. We need your help to make this effort successful!

Research in Action

For several years, the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) has highlighted some of the field’s most exciting research projects. Now we’re building on this successful effort by producing short videos highlighting new research results. These monthly video segments will educate and excite the public – to include our community, undergraduates interested in Computer Science as a major and others - about the cutting-edge research being done by computer scientists across the country

CCC will film selected highlights, covering the on-site production and editing costs of these segments. The scientists highlighted in these videos will have an opportunity to demonstrate their research and talk about what led to their success. Please help us with this new initiative by submitting your own research success stories for consideration.

This is an excellent opportunity to communicate your research to the broader public, including prospective undergraduate and graduate students who may be interested in computer science and engineering. In addition to producing a video featuring you and your research team, the CCC will also provide a $1,500 travel award to the lead researcher to cover his/her travel to a conference at which he/she may present the associated findings. Please consider submitting your research breakthroughs for this new public education campaign.
