Project: Effects of Network Configurations on Client/Server Interaction
Student Researchers: Amber Van Wyk, Elaine Winecoff
Advisors: Merry McDonald, Gary McDonald
Institution: Northwest Missouri State University

The overall goal of the project is to analyze performance of client/server programming using a variety of network configurations. Performance will be measured by response time and traffic generation on the network. Response time shall be defined as the average time span between submission of a request and receipt of a response. Traffic generation will be concerned with the number of packets generated and an analysis of the traffic pattern on both single LAN segments and on multiple LAN segments connected by routers.
